Well, it seems that lately I like to find reasons to celebrate, but with December here, there are more than enough… I invited everyone to our Christmas party because I felt like baking, but also we were announcing the acquisition of our place.

I try to take advantage of every opportunity I get to bake and practice, so when I get actual real orders everything turns delicious… And every opportunity I get to improve my decoration skills is well received as well. Besides, throwing parties is fun, get to see friends we don’t hang out with too often because of our agendas, or hang out with work buddies away from work, entertain, laught, eat and drink, among many other things makes any occasion worth to put together a party.

This time, party was planned a tiny bit later than we usually do, because we were not making food, or BBQing, so we expected everyone to come after supper time. Only sweets, treats, drinks were placed. Most of the decoration was our Christmas stuff of course, all our candles, jars, the tree, ornaments, lanterns, but to make it extra special and add a little of “party” to the event, I cut many little gold stars and made a banner in the same gold cardboard in which I wrote “Feliz Navidad” (can’t deny the roots).

For a part of the entertaining I made Ugly Sweater shaped sugar cookies and iced them plain white, then little food gel tubes and food markers were placed next to those so everyone could make their own ugly swaters, sounds silly and maybe even girly but everyone had some cookie fun with them.

The rest was…

– Cream cheese Baileys macarons

– Vanilla + Almond cake pops

– Chocolate + Peppermint cake pops

– Sugar cookies

– Chocolate mini cupckaes with cream cheese + Baileys icing

– And a lazy bowl of chocolate chip teddy bear cookies (store bought) mixed with minimarshmallows, which kind of works as a S’mores bowl.

Last but no least, I made some Bark, christmasy and multi-layerd bark: milk chocolate, graham crakers, white chocolate, semi dark chocolate and crusehd candy canes on top. And with it, i made little favour bags for everyone to bring home some sweet stuff 🙂 the remaining bark, went to a couple of bowls.

Whatever we didn’t eat, made people at work very happy on the following week, because as usual, I don’t like to keep that many swet tempting delicius hoodies at home, so I pack them and give them away… they usually dessapear pretty fast!
That was it for our little party… Happy Holidays 🙂
