DIY Time! easy way to re-purpose that old phone that’s sitting in your basement. Succulents are so easy to find and if you don’t happen to have and old phone hanging around and you’re committed enough to find one, check out that garage sale down the street, a local flea market or ask a friend (you’ll be doing them a favour)… This is another project that’s very cute and waaaay too easy, just a DIY succulent planter to add beauty to your home or office 🙂
All you need is:
- A dial phone
- Primer and Spray paint the colour of your choice
- Screwdriver
- A pretty succulent
- A container for the plant
- Pebbles or tiny rocks (optional)
First, open the phone and unscrew everything that’s attached to it, then get rid of it, you won’t need it. Clean up the phone, it might be sticky and dusty, then proceed to spray it with the primer. Somehow I really liked how my primer looked, so I din’t paint it after, only the handset and created some kinda cool mix.
Once it’s fully dry, screw back the bottom. I also painted a little container that fits right into the hole in the same colour, then filled it with new soil and the succulent, maybe you want to add some pebbles before the soil, so the soil is never extra wet when you water it. And voilá! DIY succulent planter is ready 🙂
If you liked this project, I’m sure you’ll love this other project.
And don’t forget to Pin it!
