Peanut Butter lovers around? Chocolate lovers perhaps? Big into easy, fast and not too messy Healthy snacks? I hear you, my hand’s up for all those questions.
I’m always looking for a way to satisfy my cravings for something sweet all the time and keeping it healthy-ish you know? Avoiding over processed products and hard to read ingredients. That’s when I stumbled upon this delicious, dummy proof and super fast recipe.
Another beauty of this recipe is that you can replace pretty much any of the ingredients. The oats can be whole (ground them a little in the food processor if you prefer, or use the “quick oats” that come already grounded), the honey can be replace for Maple syrup, change the cocoa powder for more chips, remember to use mini chips or chopped chocolate, since the bites won’t be too big this helps keeps the shape and consistence. Instead of peanut butter you can use almond butter or any other nut butter you prefer, and if you don’t want to use chocolate, raisins or chopped pecans are great replacements. The salt, I recomend keeping it if you use chocolate, to make them taste richer.
All you have to do, is pretty simple. Mix all the ingredients, use a Tablespoon to measure the mix and roll a ball with your hands (you can also use a meatball maker), then put in the fridge for at least 30min so they get consistent enough to eat and then enjoy!
I like to mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, and in a separate one the wet ones and then just mix all together.
I usually bring them to work so I don’t feel like I need to buy any snacks… or just get a coffee, and enjoy!
